What branching logic is
Branching logic is the rule set that lets a survey or form change course based on how someone answers. And always test by walking each route yourself, because logic that looks right on a diagram can still send someone to the wrong place. The failures are almost always errors in the paths. A branch that references an answer to a question the respondent never reached will not fire, or will fire wrongly, so ordering matters. Overly complex logic with dozens of intertwined conditions becomes impossible to test and quietly breaks when the form changes.
